JERUSALEM -- An Israeli-led multinational research team has developed an advanced method to detect vulnerable "hotspots" in cancerous tumors, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI) said Sunday.

BAMAKO -- One soldier and four terrorists were killed in the attack on an army post in Acharane (Timbuktu region) in northern Mali, the Malian Armed Forces said Sunday on their official website.

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned on Sunday that violent crimes in the country's Arab society are spiraling and must be curbed.

AMMAN -- Jordan's Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) on Sunday said it signed a Saudi-Jordanian investment deal to launch a new airline based in Aqaba.

The 20 million U.S. dollars investment deal entailed launching a new privately owned airline called Fly Aqaba, ASEZA Chief Commissioner Nayef Bakheet said in a statement. (Jordan-Saudi-Airline)


GENEVA -- The latest round of Syrian constitutional talks, participated by members of the Syrian Constitutional Committee's Small Body, will kick off in Geneva on Monday, a United Nations envoy said on Sunday.

UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir O. Pedersen told a press conference here Sunday that the parties have agreed to prepare and start drafting for constitutional reform, and "the new thing this week is that we will actually be starting a drafting process for constitutional reform in Syria." BOGOTA -- Three Venezuelans and two Colombians were killed in the municipality of Betania, Antioquia department, in northwestern Colombia, local authorities reported on Sunday.

Antioquia Governor Anibal Gaviria denounced the incident on Twitter and stated that he is organizing an investigation into the possible purpose behind the attack. (Colombia-Armed attack)
