Palestinian filmmaker Basel Adra was at the United Nations in New York on Thursday. Hes calling for global action to protect Palestinian rights.
Adra is the co-director of theOscar-winningdocumentary No Other Land,a film about demolitions and violence in theWest Bank.
It tells the story of Adras home, Masafer Yatta, a Palestinian community of around 20 villages. Adra began filming to document demolitions and illegalIsraeli settlerviolence.
The film also follows the friendship between Basel Adra and Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham - who is the co-director of the documentary.
